The
Kaplan University Chapter of the Golden Key Honour Society is proud to
announce our New Member Recognition Event on July 27, 2014 at 9 P.M.
Eastern in our Adobe Connect meeting room which can be found at http://khe2.adobeconnect.com/gkhs/ .
We would like to invite all members of this great chapter as we celebrate and congratulate our new members.
The Golden Key Honour Society offers so much more than a line item on
your resume. Here you can make contacts and connections that could last
for the rest of your life. Golden Key and our chapter offer you the
opportunity to be involved in leadership, academics and charity as well
as offer members the opportunities to gain scholarships and attend
different events around the country.
The tenants of Golden Key are its three pillars. The first is
academics, in which we are all scholars and the power of knowledge can
be used for change. We are in pursuit of Academic excellence in our
disciplines. The second is leadership. Golden key members are leaders
and working with Golden Key will assist in developing these skills as
well as working with others with similar goals. The final pillar is
service. We make a difference in our communities by giving back,
volunteering and working on various service projects through Golden Key
and on our own.
Our
New Member Recognition Event should be a great night where we can
celebrate our accomplishments though Golden key and recognize our new
members for what they can bring to Golden Key. We will also be
inducting Dr. Kevin Cojanu and Dr. Marty McDermott of Kaplan University
and Kaplan Radio, as Honorary Members. In closing, Martin Luther King
Jr said “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively
and to think critically... Intelligence plus character - that is the
goal of true education” and that is the true goal of being a member of
the Golden Key International Honour Society.
